Kate McLaren
Mudtown PotteryKate moved to Grey County from her family's farm in Campbellville, after she graduated from Sheridan College, in 1978. Her century farmhouse/studio near Walter's Falls is a tranquil, rustic retreat from her busy life in Owen Sound at Mudtown Pottery. Located at 1835 3rd. Ave. East, Mudtown is where she teaches, makes pottery and hosts cultural events and exhibitions.
Most of Kate's pottery is easily distinguished by her tree motif, developed over decades of experimentation.
It is meant to be used: food-safe, microwave and dishwasher friendly, with care to avoid abrupt heat shock.
"Science, art and serendipity intersect in the pottery studio."
