We've been redecorating! Come in to the store and see the fresh new look at the Co-op. Our members are bringing new work in every day, so there is always something new to see at the Co-op.

New Artist Profile pages are now on our website for jewellery artists Audrey Kirk and Morag Budgeon, plus all new photos on the page for photographer Carol Norris.

We have some temporary members at the Co-op whose work is really worth checking out. Fran Cockburn's paintings will be at the store until the end of the summer, as will Mallori McArthur's stained glass. Bob Dopp's watercolours will be at the Co-op until 2009.

Our Guest Artists this month are Carol McKee and Susan Seidman. Carol creates imaginative miniature houses out of papier mache. Susan works in watercolour to depict every day objects and surroundings.

The Artists' Co-op Guest Artist programme makes it possible for artists in our region to exhibit and sell their work at our store for a month. This gives the artist some exposure for their work and a chance to try out the Co-op as a venue. It also gives the Co-op members a chance to get to know the artist and see how his or her work fits with the existing mix of media. Many guest artists have moved on to become full members of the Artists' Co-op. If you'd like to find out more details about how the Guest Artist programme works, please contact The Store.
